This month’s in-person gathering is in Room 219 at the Gerry Hyland Government Center, 8350 Richmond Hwy, Alexandria, VA 22309.
The topic of discussion is Understanding Ionospheric Propagation and Forecasts, presented by Ed N2EC.
Many people have asked him how to interpret the forecasts given each week in Amateur Radio News and Notes. This talk should help you better understand how propagation works and how to interpret the different measurements and predictions in forecasts. We will cover how the sun interacts with our ionosphere to impact propagation, how that interaction allows signals to travel around the world, and how to know which bands will be most effective.
We'd love for you to join us in person, but if you're not able to make it, we will host a hybrid meeting via Google Meet. Email social@mvarc.org for the link.
